The Area
Broad Haven & PembrokeshireThe Area Surrounding SunnyBank
Sunnybank and Broad Haven are situated at the heart of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park so world class beaches and attractions are on your doorstep when you stay with us.
The most popular things to do are to walk the coast paths, go to the beach or… the Puffins on Skomer Island!
Visiting Skomer has become increasing popular over recent years, as lots of television programmes including Countryfile have been giving it a lot of exposure.
There is only 1 boat with the contract to land on Skomer – the Dale Princess. It does a few sailings a day, book your trip using the link below.

There are not many facilities on the island, so take drinks, snacks, sun cream etc – you will be quite exposed – but it is definitely worth it!
Walking:
Pembrokeshire is a great place for walking and there are lots of walking maps available on the Pembrokeshire Coast website that can be downloaded for free at:
https://www.pembrokeshirecoast.wales/things-to-do/walking-in-the-park/
From Sunnybank Lodge, you can either turn right and just head down towards the beach, or you can turn left, walk for around 100m and then turn left onto a footpath, which takes you along the upper edge of the field towards Timber Hill. There is a reservoir if you turn right at the top of the field and follow the lane for around 70m (turn left at a gate) or you can head straight over, through Timber Hill and into Haroldston Woods. Follow the woods down to the Broad Haven for a short walk, or turn right to head up the woods. You can then cross to the coast path to head North towards Druidston Haven, or South to take you to Broad Haven Beach.
